In 1919, while other printers were using teams and wagons to move paper stock and printed matter in and out of Kansas City printing plants, visionary Richard Belger purchased a truck to better serve his printing customers. His foresight, knowledge of the industry, and commitment to service led the fledgling Belger Cartage Service to grow steadily and eventually include six locations in four states offering crane services, machinery installation and de-installation, specialized heavy hauling, and warehousing.  With headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, grandson C. Richard Belger continued the Belger family tradition for 30 years. On the 30th anniversary of his tenure as President, July, 3, 2015, he passed the torch to the 4th and current President, Evelyn Craft Belger.

The growth of Belger Cartage over the years is the result of providing the highest quality service coupled with uncompromising customer satisfaction at a competitive price.
